BIRTH
In 1932, England saw the birth of the innovative brand that would leave an indelible mark on the field of fuel flowmeters: Avery Hardoll. The company's first step was in avio refuelling for the prestigious Royal Air Force (RAF) between the 1930s and 1960s.
Over the years, the brand embraced a new market in petrol stations worldwide. Fuel dispensing pumps became a recognisable signature while maintaining flowmeters as its core business.
However, its journey went through several phases of transformation: the brand changed ownership several times and even made a leap overseas under Liquid Control in the United States.
ACQUISITION
Only in early 2021 did Luca Bozzi - Silea's CEO - realise the incredible potential of a brand with such a history. The decision to acquire Avery Hardoll and bring it back to its European roots turned out to be a bold and ambitious move.

Two years later, Avery Hardoll stands out as one of Silea's most valuable products. The acquisition has enriched the service offering, satisfying customers with excellent solutions.
GROWTH
The fundamental key to this success lies in significant investment in Research and Development. Silea's commitment is not limited to preserving the quality standards that have always characterised Avery Hardoll, but it goes further, improving performance and optimising production processes.
A clear example is a modern production plant construction within the Silea complex. In this context, an innovative test bench stands out in the name of precision and reliability.

And what's more: the recent achievement of MODULE D certification of the 2014/32/EU 'MID' Directive which allows customers to calibrate the measuring system themselves, free from the involvement of a notified body.
A NEW CHAPTER
Promising projects are taking shape in Avery Hardoll's future. Such as participation in the 24th Inter Airport Europe, the leading airport industry event. The unmissable event will take place from the 10th to the 13th of October 2023 in Munich.
Since its acquisition by Silea, Avery Hardoll's journey has been constantly evolving. That is how innovation and tradition can materialise into great results!
